Do I need an account to use Journexa?

No. Journexa is fully anonymous — you are identified by a secure device ID stored on your device. No email, password, or sign-up required.

What does the free plan include?

Free users get unlimited freewrite entries, 5 guided AI messages per day, 3 voice transcriptions per month, 5 Ask Journal queries per month, AI mood and theme analysis on every entry, and 7 days of mood history.

What does Journexa Plus include?

Plus ($4.99/month or $29.99/year) gives you 30 guided AI messages per day, 20 voice transcriptions per month, 30 Ask Journal queries per month, 30-day mood history, mood trend charts, and entry export.

What does Journexa Pro include?

Pro ($9.99/month or $59.99/year) gives you unlimited guided AI messages, unlimited voice transcriptions, unlimited Ask Journal queries, all-time mood history, mood trend charts, and entry export — no caps of any kind.

How does the AI analysis work?

After each entry, your text is sent to an AI model to detect your mood, surface emotional themes, and generate a personal insight. This processing happens on-demand and your content is not retained by the AI provider beyond the request.

What happens if I change phones?

Your data is tied to your device ID. Data does not currently transfer automatically between devices. If you want a fresh start on a new device, use Settings → Delete All Data before switching.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions to cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete all my data?

Open Journexa → Settings → Delete All Data. This permanently removes all entries, streak data, and your device registration from our servers. This cannot be undone.
